YOUR INFORMATION.
CLEAR CHOICES.
TraderInput is an educational website about futures trading. We do not run accounts, advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not sell or share your personal information.
Privacy policy
WHAT HAPPENS
TO YOUR INPUT.
This policy explains what information TraderInput (“TraderInput”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use traderinput.com and its Terminal, how we use it, which service providers process it, and the choices you have. Questions and requests: info@traderinput.com.
Information collected when you visit
Our website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (United States). To deliver pages and protect the site against abuse, Cloudflare processes technical information your browser sends with every request: your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, your browser and operating system, and the referring page. Cloudflare processes this information under its own privacy policy and keeps security logs for limited periods. We do not use this information to identify or profile you. Cloudflare does not set cookies on our website.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, your email address and your consent are sent directly to Mailchimp, a service of Intuit Inc. (United States), which manages our mailing list and sends our emails. Mailchimp may record whether an email was opened or a link was clicked. Every email contains an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by writing to us. We keep your address until you unsubscribe. Mailchimp’s handling is described in Intuit’s privacy statement.
Contacting us
If you write to us by email, WhatsApp or Facebook, we receive the information you send, such as your name, contact details and message, and use it to answer you. WhatsApp and Facebook are operated by Meta Platforms and process your messages under their own terms. We keep enquiries as long as needed to handle them and to meet legal obligations.
Information stored only in your browser
Some tools save your progress in your own browser so you can continue later. This information is never sent to us:
- Decision Lab: up to 30 completed replay summaries, including your written plan and simulated results (IndexedDB).
- Mouse Speed & Precision Trainer: up to 100 sessions with scores and timing summaries; raw pointer samples are not saved (IndexedDB).
- Terminal: your settings, recent symbols, watchlist and your TradingView choice (local storage).
You can remove this information with the clear buttons in the tools or by deleting this website’s data in your browser settings. Private browsing may prevent it from being saved.
Terminal data
When you look up a company in the Terminal, our server requests public filings and statistics from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (EDGAR) and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission. These requests contain only the ticker or company number you looked up, never your IP address or identity. Answers may be cached briefly so that we ask these agencies less often.
TradingView content in the Terminal
Charts, quotes, heatmaps and news in the Terminal are official widgets of TradingView, Inc. and its affiliates. They are switched off until you choose “Load TradingView”. After that, your browser connects directly to TradingView, which receives your IP address and browser information and sets its own cookies, including analytics identifiers that can last up to one year. TradingView may collect information about your activity over time and across websites under its own privacy policy. We receive none of this information. Your choice is remembered in your browser. You can switch TradingView off again in the Terminal settings; cookies that TradingView has already set can be deleted in your browser.
Cookies, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
TraderInput itself sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. The only third-party cookies come from TradingView, and only after you load its content. Because we do not track visitors across websites, we treat every visit the same way whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. How TradingView responds to these signals is governed by its own policy.
How we share information
We share information only with the service providers named above, which process it to host the website (Cloudflare) and send our newsletter (Mailchimp), and where the law requires us to disclose it. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. If TraderInput is ever transferred to another owner, this policy continues to apply to information collected under it.
Your privacy rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw consent you have given (for example, to the newsletter). Residents of California and other U.S. states with privacy laws have these rights by law; we will not treat you differently for using them. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you also have the rights to restrict or object to processing and to receive your data in a portable format, and you may complain to your local data protection authority. For those visitors, we rely on our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (hosting), on your consent (newsletter and TradingView), and on the steps you request (answering enquiries). Our service providers process information in the United States, using safeguards such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses where they apply. Send requests to info@traderinput.com; we may need to confirm that a request comes from you.
Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and our trading education is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Every page is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and we keep the amount of information we handle to a minimum. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will say so clearly on this page.
