Strict route score / 100
How to improve

Look at the target first. Move toward it in one controlled stroke, ease into the center, then click. Compare the solid cursor trail with the dashed direct route; reduce loops and repeated corrections. In Execution, red segments mean movement away from the target and reduce your score further. Keep accuracy steady as you improve your own value.

The spatial drill requires vision and mouse input. Settings, results and history support keyboard navigation; keyboard actions are not scored as mouse performance. Press Escape to end a session.

Missing targets? Check your mouse settings

Higher DPI means more cursor travel for the same physical movement. It does not automatically mean better accuracy. This page cannot read your hardware DPI or change your system settings.

  • Overshooting or making tiny back-and-forth corrections? Try one small reduction in DPI or system pointer speed.
  • Running out of mousepad or lifting the mouse repeatedly? Try one small increase, then check that close targets remain easy to hit.
  • Unpredictable movement? Keep your mouse surface, grip and pointer-acceleration setting consistent. Do not change several settings together.

A simple comparison: use stationary Execution at level 1. Do two short practice runs, change just one setting by a small step, then repeat. Compare accuracy and center error first, followed by response time and path efficiency. Keep whichever setting gives you repeatable control; there is no universal best DPI.

On Windows 11, open Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Mouse for pointer speed and Enhance pointer precision. Hardware DPI is usually adjusted in your mouse’s own software or with its DPI button. Keep browser zoom and display settings the same when comparing runs. Change settings between sessions.

HOW TO PLAY

One ticket.
One correct action.

The controls

  • BUY: click Bid at the ticket price.
  • SELL: click Offer at the ticket price.
  • CANCEL #: click that order’s × badge.
  • RIGHT-CLICK: cancel a wrong order using its badge or Bid/Offer cell. The original error stays recorded.
  • CANCEL ALL: click Cancel all above the ladder.

Alternating bids and offers train short and long vertical moves. Quantity stays at one so you can focus on travel and landing accuracy.

Active and NQ - Fast move the bids and offers, with an occasional one-row shift of the price scale. Recheck the price before clicking: tickets and working orders keep their original prices. NQ - Fast varies the spread from one to three ticks; other paces use one or two. One tick remains most common. Each run starts around the simulated 7262.00 level. Steady and reduced motion keep the scale fixed.

Practice targets: accuracy must be above 95% to pass. Average response is on pace below 0.8s, amber from 0.8–1s, and too slow above 1s. Response includes reading and corrections on successful tickets. These are training goals, not a prediction of trading results.

Your recent DOM sessions

Finish a drill to record your first session in this browser.

Cancel all removes every working practice order. Use it when the ticket asks; using it for a different instruction counts as an error and moves to a fresh ticket. It never deletes history. Practice depth is fictional; no fills or P&L. Placement drills retain five correct orders; wrong resting orders remain until cancelled (maximum 20 working orders). Finish either game and start the other on this page—no reload needed.

    05 / UNDERSTAND THE MEASURE

Why mouse precision matters for active traders

Order-entry controls, chart tools and workspace navigation all involve selecting the intended interface element. Rapid target acquisition is useful only when the click is accurate. Rushing can lead to accidental interactions; repeatable cursor control is a practical skill to examine in isolation.

This trainer provides a controlled place to practise the balance between speed and accuracy. It does not simulate order execution, assess trading judgement or establish that practice improves trading profitability. Use your platform’s safeguards and simulation environment to learn its actual controls.

    What the trainer measures

The live accuracy chart marks every hit at 100 and every error or expired task at zero. Its line is a simple moving average of the last ten scored events (or the available events before ten). The chart shows the most recent 60 events; it is indexed by event, not elapsed time. The final accuracy percentage still measures the whole session.

Turn on the cursor trail to compare your solid movement path with a dashed direct route. Feedback after every session gives you a concrete next repetition; longer-term practice suggestions still wait for enough observations. Execution targets can drift gently from level 2. Reduced motion keeps them stationary. Moving and stationary targets are compared separately.

    Response / target time
Time from a target appearing until a successful click, including both initiation and movement. Average, median and best use successful targets only.
    Movement onset
Time until the cursor is at least 4 CSS pixels from its position at target appearance. If the position is unknown, the first sample becomes the reference. Tiny jitter is ignored. This includes device and browser latency; in Signal / Noise, movement may be directed at another object.
    Path efficiency
A strict coaching score: 100 × (direct distance ÷ travelled distance)2, with a further penalty for backwards travel in Execution: direct distance ÷ (direct distance + 2 × backwards distance). A basic distance ratio of 73% becomes at most 53.3%, lower if you move away first. The original distance ratio and backwards distance are saved separately. Red trail segments show movement away from the target; other segments keep their usual color. Signal uses the squared ratio without a direction penalty because several targets are valid. Paths under 1 px are unavailable.
    Center error
Distance in CSS pixels from the click to the target center. Smaller values mean more central clicks. Summary values use hits; the underlying observations also retain missed clicks.
    Accuracy
Hits ÷ (hits + off-target clicks + expired targets + distractor clicks) × 100. Each failed attempt counts. Targets still available when a session ends are excluded.
    Consistency
100 × (1 − standard deviation of successful target times ÷ mean target time), clamped to 0–100. At least three hits are needed. Higher means less variation, not necessarily faster performance.
    How the session score works

Accuracy contributes 35%, speed 25%, precision 15%, path efficiency 15% and consistency 10%. Speed scales linearly from 100 at 200 ms or faster to zero at 1,500 ms or slower, using median target time. Precision is 100 × (1 − mean center error divided by each target’s radius), clamped to 0–100.

Missing components contribute zero. Fewer than three hits produces no composite score. These are explicit product scales, not population norms. Raw measurements are saved separately. Execution and Signal / Noise scores should not be compared directly.

    How to use the trainer

Start with a short session. Use the same mouse, DPI, operating-system pointer settings, browser zoom and window size when comparing benchmarks. Aim for a comfortable, controlled pace before pushing speed. Look at several sessions rather than an isolated best result.

Choose a starting level from 1 to 4. The 60-second benchmark stays at that level; two-minute, custom and free training adapt gradually. Signal / Noise mixes upright green targets with green upside-down triangles, red upright triangles and other moving decoys. Hatched NO CLICK zones sweep through the targets. Click only fully uncovered upright green triangles; target lifetimes pause while covered. Reduced motion keeps geometry still. Higher levels add clutter, shorter lifetimes and a second crossing zone. Free training ends after 30 minutes; take regular breaks. Scrolling keeps the drill running. Switching tabs, losing window focus or resizing ends a partial session. Comparisons match level, motion, trail, mode and size. Older sessions remain selectable under Original rules.

    06 / COMMON QUESTIONS

    Before you begin.

    Does this require an account?

No. Results are stored locally in this browser using IndexedDB. Training results are not sent to a server.

Will my history remain after closing the website?

Normally, yes. Browser or site-data deletion, private browsing and browser storage eviction can remove it. The latest 100 sessions are kept; unusually long sessions retain up to 1,000 sampled target summaries, while their aggregate metrics include every observation.

Will my scores sync between computers?

No. History belongs to this browser profile and site address. Another browser, computer, hostname or local port has separate storage.

Does mouse DPI affect the score?

Yes. Hardware, DPI, operating-system pointer settings, sensitivity, browser zoom and workspace size can influence results. Comparisons are most meaningful under similar conditions.

    Is this a reaction-time test?

Not exactly. It measures visual response and mouse execution together. Movement onset is an estimate based on cursor displacement, not a clinical or neurological measurement.

Does a higher score mean I will trade better?

No. This is a mouse-control and attention training metric, not a predictor of profitability, judgement or live order execution.

Why can’t I train with touch or keyboard controls?

Finger taps and keyboard actions measure different interactions. The drill accepts mouse pointer events only; touch-only devices can still read the guidance and view saved history.
